Here is another lot of pictures of my recently finished garments. These have been sewn in June.
1950's Petticoat. The pattern is from the book Burda Style: Sewing Vintage. I used stiffed tulle for this one and it works really well. I had this project on my to do list for a long time. You really need one for 1950's dresses, don´t you? ;)
Here is another version of the same pattern. For this one I used soft tulle I had as a remnant from another project. As you can see it doesn´t work as well. Soft tulle doesn´t keep the shape as much as the stiff one. I doubt wearing this would make any difference to the silhouette of the dress. But still, accessory then...
Bowling shirt made in quilt weight cotton. This pattern is from the book The Great British Sewing Bee - Sew Your Own Wardrobe. Oh how I love all the books in this series! This shirt is very comfy yet smart-I mean the cut. If you´re wondering about that pattern... Yes, those are skulls. Yes, it´s a bit weird. But the white collar and cuffs tones it down a bit, doesn´t it? :)
Jersey top. This pattern is from Burda 5/2014 magazine.
A chiffon blouse I made for my friend. I drafted this blouse myself at her request. It took only one meter of fabric. :)
1970's tube dress made in linen fabric and embellished with embroidered and beaded ribbon. The pattern is from Burda 7/2013. This is a modified version of it, made for a friend. Great pattern, this is 3rd dress I made using it and more to come...
Neon hoodie... AT LAST! I had the materials for this hoodie since summer 2013 and I finally got to sew it now two years later. The silver braid ribbon was really tricky to work with. I broke 2 needles and bent one sewing this! And I never break needles, I only broke one years ago sewing some super thick home dec fabric... Well, but no harm done, the hoodie is finished and I love it! :)
